M4A to MP3
Apple devices save sound as M4A, including recordings from the Voice Memos app. Convert them to MP3, which plays on almost anything, without uploading your recordings.
How to use it
- Choose the MP3 quality; 128 kbps is plenty for speech.
- Choose your M4A files, or drag them onto the box.
- Download each MP3, or all of them as a ZIP file.
Private recordings stay private
Voice memos are often meetings, interviews, lessons or personal notes. This page converts them inside your browser, so the recording is never sent anywhere.
Files bought from Apple
Music bought from iTunes today has no copy protection and converts normally. Older purchases with copy protection, and anything streamed from Apple Music, cannot be converted.

No. The work happens inside your web browser, on your own device. You can check: once this page has loaded, switch off your internet connection and it will still work. The page also tells your browser to refuse to load anything from, or send anything to, any other website, so nothing can be sent elsewhere even by accident.
