How to use it
- Choose your images, or drag them onto the box.
- Set the quality if you wish; around 80 is a sensible starting point.
- Download each WebP, or all of them as a ZIP file.
Why use WebP on a website?
Smaller images mean pages appear faster, which visitors notice and which search engines take into account. Every current web browser shows WebP, so there is no longer a compatibility reason to avoid it on the web.
Unlike JPG, WebP keeps see-through areas, so it can also replace PNG for logos and graphics.
If your browser cannot create WebP
Not every browser on every device can create WebP files, even when it can show them. This page checks when it opens and tells you straight away if yours cannot, rather than giving you a file in the wrong format. If that happens, try another browser.

Are my files uploaded?
No. The work happens inside your web browser, on your own device. You can check: once this page has loaded, switch off your internet connection and it will still work. The page also tells your browser to refuse to load anything from, or send anything to, any other website, so nothing can be sent elsewhere even by accident.
